What is electrolysis

Electrolysis is the only method of permanently removing hair and can really make a huge difference to self-esteem and confidence.

It works by inserting a very fine probe into the hair follicle and passing an intense pulse of heat to the root of the hair, effectively weakening and destroying the source of growth of each hair over a course of treatments.

Unlike laser treatment, electrolysis can be used to effectively remove hair of any colour and on any skin tone. Unlike plucking and waxing, which increase the blood supply to the root and can cause growth of thicker and stronger hairs, electrolysis will gradually weaken the hair until it no longer grows at all.

Skin Blemish Removal

Common skin blemishes such as skin tags, facial thread veins, spider veins, blood spots and milia can also be effectively removed using electrolysis.  In most cases these can be effectively and comfortably removed in a single, quick treatment.

There are three main causes of excess hair growth:

• Congenital inherited hair growth patterns.
• Topical hair growth is where the hair follicles have been stimulated to grow thicker hairs or denser hair patterns, for example when a plaster cast has been worn for some time, or due to other hair removal processes such as waxing, plucking, or laser treatments.
• Systemic causes related to the endocrine system which can produce unwanted hair growth patterns, for example during puberty, pregnancy, or menopause, or through common conditions such as polycystic ovarian syndrome.

My Story

Having tried many types of hair removal methods myself, I finally decided to have a course of electrolysis and I can honestly say I wish I hadn't waited so long. I am now passionate about this treatment and the impact it can have on self esteem and confidence.
